The conclusion is that, thanks to the round tube, the additional wind noise is minimal and not disturbing. From 120-140 km\/h the wind noise of roof racks becomes noticeably stronger. In exceptional cases louder wind noise or a drone can occur; often the reason is tension in the rack, as the vehicle and the rack both have manufacturing tolerances. In these cases it usually helps to loosen the rack again and mount it without tension.
