Privacy Notice for the Competition

The protection of your data is important to us. Below, we inform you about the processing of your personal data in the context of our competition in accordance with Art. 13 GDPR.

horntools GmbH is responsible for the data processing in connection with this competition.

2. Purpose of Data Processing

The personal data you submit via email (in particular your email address and, if applicable, your name) will be processed for the following purposes:

  • Organization and administration of the competition (e.g., determining and notifying the winners, sending the prizes)
  • Subscription to the horntools newsletter (information about products, offers, and promotions)

By participating in the competition, you agree to us subscribing you to our newsletter.

3. Legal Basis

  • Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR – processing for the performance of the competition
  • Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR – consent to the newsletter subscription

You can revoke your consent to receive the newsletter at any time with future effect, e.g. via the unsubscribe link in any email or by sending a message to adventure@horntools.com.

4. Recipients of the Data

To send our newsletter, we use the service provider Klaviyo, a product of Klaviyo, Inc., 125 Summer St, Boston, MA 02110, USA. Data processing is carried out on the basis of a data processing agreement in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR and, where necessary, on the basis of the European Commission's standard contractual clauses to ensure an adequate level of data protection.

5. Retention Period

  • Competition: Your data will be deleted 30 days after the end of the competition, unless there are statutory retention obligations.
  • Newsletter: Your data will be stored as long as you are subscribed to the newsletter. After unsubscribing, your data will be deleted from the mailing list.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Information about your stored personal data
  • Correction of incorrect or incomplete data
  • Deletion of your data
  • Restriction of processing
  • Data portability
  • Objection to processing
  • Revocation of your consent (e.g. for the newsletter)
