The NAVIS roof rack was developed as a modular system. Made from high-quality aluminum, the roof rack is not only very light but also extremely stiff. The high load capacity of 300 kg is unique in this segment.

We decided on Airline mounts so that you can continue to use your fittings with our system. The NAVIS has such a low profile that the overall height of the vehicle does not change compared to the original roof rails.

We test every system on the vehicle until we are satisfied with the result and have reached our horntools quality.

Attention:

The roof rack system is only suitable for double cabs with original mounting options on the roof.

The dynamic load capacity is not the manufacturer's approval.
The manufacturer's load capacity must not be exceeded.
The static load indicates the loading capacity when stationary.
The dynamic load capacity applies exclusively to paved roads.
The load must be distributed evenly over a large area.

Tests and certificates:

The roof racks were tested by Mercedes-Benz for the X-Class and a manufacturer's approval was issued. In addition, the NAVIS has a TÜV test. Every single roof rack is inspected before powder coating and measured in a special gauge. It is then assembled as a trial. This ensures that every rack fits. We drive countless kilometers, on & off road, with & without load, to offer you a perfectly tuned roof rack for your vehicle. We do not build one-size-fits-all products, we test every mounting system until it is perfectly adapted to your vehicle and works well.

TEC-TALK:

The roof rack was tested on various vehicles in driving operation for about 1500 km for noise and strength. The conclusion is that, thanks to the round tube, the additional wind noise is minimal and not disturbing. From 120-140 km/h the wind noise of roof racks becomes noticeably stronger. In exceptional cases louder wind noise or a drone can occur; often the reason is tension in the rack, as the vehicle and the rack both have manufacturing tolerances. In these cases it usually helps to loosen the rack again and mount it without tension. If there is still disturbing wind noise, installing a spoiler or additional LED lights helps.
